The Google Drive photo colorizer that lives in your side panel.

Revive is a Google Workspace add-on that colorizes black-and-white photos right inside Google Drive. Install it in two clicks, open the side panel, pick files or a whole folder, and click Colorize. Restored copies land in the same folder — your originals and your files never leave Google.

A Workspace add-on

Built to work inside Drive.

No exports, no third-party uploader, no new account. Revive is a native Google Workspace photo add-on that reads and writes right where your images already live.

Install in two clicks

Add Revive from the Google Workspace Marketplace and grant one narrow consent screen. It opens as a side panel in Drive — no download, no separate login.

Folder-aware batch

Point Revive at one photo, a folder, or a whole tree. It queues every image and colorizes 1, 100, or 10,000 at a time — sub-folder structure preserved in the output.

Files never leave Google

Revive uses Drive APIs to read, process, and write in place. No copies on third-party storage. The narrow drive.file scope means it only touches the files you pick.

Shared domain billing

Buy image credits once and share them across every user on your Workspace billing account. Credits never expire, and every failed job is automatically refunded.

Real restorations

Grey becomes gold.

Scroll and watch the colour come back — the same way it does in your Drive when you click Colorize.

Inside the side panel

Pick, click, done.

The whole flow happens in Drive. There is nothing to upload and nothing to download.

Step 01

Open the panel

In Google Drive, open the Revive side panel from the Workspace add-ons rail. It appears next to your files, right where you already are.

Step 02

Pick files or a folder

Click a photo, hold Cmd/Ctrl to multi-select, or point Revive at an entire folder. Your selection appears in the panel as you build it.

Step 03

Click Colorize

Confirm the count and go. Around 50–100 ms per photo — roughly 1,000 images in about a minute. Colorized copies save beside the originals as filename-color.jpg.

Pricing

Pay per image. No subscription.

1 image = 1 colorized photo. Buy a pack of credits, share them across your domain, and pay less per photo as the packs grow — down to 5¢ with custom volume.

Questions

Good to know.

How do I colorize photos in Google Drive?

Install the Revive Workspace add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace, then open the Revive side panel inside Google Drive. Select the black-and-white photos you want — a single file, several files, or a whole folder — and click Colorize. Color copies are saved in the same folder as filename-color.jpg, and your originals are never modified.

Do my photos leave Google's servers?

No. Revive works through Google Drive APIs to read, process, and write your images in place. Nothing is copied to third-party storage, and the add-on uses the narrow drive.file scope, so it can only touch the files you explicitly pick. Files stay inside Google's infrastructure the entire time.

Can it colorize a whole folder at once?

Yes. Revive is folder-aware: point it at a folder and it expands the tree and queues every image automatically, preserving your sub-folder structure in the output. It handles batches of 1, 100, or 10,000 images and processes roughly 1,000 photos in about a minute (about 50–100 ms per photo).

What file types does it accept?

Revive accepts JPG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, and WebP images as input. Every colorized result is written back to Drive as a color JPEG named filename-color.jpg in the same folder as the original.

How does billing work for a Workspace domain?

Revive is pay-per-image with no subscription: 1 image equals 1 colorized photo. You buy a pack of credits that is shared across every user on your Workspace billing account. Credits never expire, and any job that fails is automatically refunded. You can start with 3 free images, no credit card required.

Add it to Drive. Try it on three photos.

Install the Revive add-on from the Workspace Marketplace, open the side panel, and colorize three black-and-white photos free. No card. No commitment. Files never leave Google.
